The Brief: As an annual Valentine’s Day gifting program, Ralph Lauren Romance collaborates with Dylan’s Candy Bar to give customers a gift of chocolates with the purchase of a full-sized perfume. The challenge this year was to push the envelope and design a box that delivered an element of surprise beyond just chocolates. 

Our team sourced a recording device that activates upon opening the lid of the box. The gifter is able to record a personal message before giving the box to the recipient. The message plays upon opening the lid, creating a unique and memorable experience. We successfully pitched our idea to C-level execs and designed a heart-shaped logo drawing inspiration from the RL monogram featured on the gate of the main entrance of Ralph Lauren’s iconic 888 Madison Ave store.
