Born and raised in New York City’s original Chinatown, Karen Hsin is a graphic designer and ceramicist with a penchant for globetrotting. On most of her trips, she’s accompanied by this little guy.
Fun fact: While stuck in Yogyakarta, Indonesia during the pandemic, Karen learned how to throw pottery on a manual stone wheel. She has since fallen in love with all things pottery and started a project called Swingtoppers, crafting bottle stoppers that breathe new life into glass wine bottles.
When not getting her hands dirty, Karen loves channeling memories of her excursions through designing invitations and printed matter for all sorts of special events. Fancy paper and tactile mediums are her jam. She thrives on projects involving intricate pop-ups and complicated dielines.
Karen doesn’t like spam…but she loves email from real people! To contact her, type her last name followed by first name at gmail – you know the drill.
